Swan Hill Food Forum- July2025

In July 2025, Food For All held the Swan Hill Food Forum. The Swan Hill Food Forum was an opportunity to learn more about resilient food systems and discuss the strengths, challenges and opportunities within our region, continuing work towards access to adequate, sustainable, and nutritious food for all.

On the day we had two guest speakers who included:

  • ‘Bendigo Food System strategy’- Rebecca Dalrymple, Food Systems Officer- Greater City of Bendigo

  • ‘Swan Hill Food and Farming Survey Results’- Emma Brentnall & Ness Wiltshire- Loddon Mallee Public Health Unit

On the day 17 community members came along to the event to have their perspective about our local food system heard. Community Discussions were held which discussed around our strengths, challenges and opportunities in the Swan Hill Region.

These discussions were based around the four priority areas of Food For All - Swan Hill Region, which include:

  • Edible Gardens

  • Food Security

  • Food Relief

  • Access to local produce

Food For All is excited to see what collaboration and community initiatives that we can action in the next year from our discussions.
