Anti-Poverty week Food Drive

This Anti-poverty week Food For All are holding a toiletries drive for the Swan Hill Food Hub. Toiletries can often be expensive and at times are not in the budget for those experiencing food insecurity. These items are ones we like to stock in the Swan Hill Food Hub however, it can be tricky to get them. This Anti-poverty week between the 12th to the 18th of October get on board and donate some toiletries for the Swan Hill Food Hub. You can do an individual donation, family donation or even a workplace donation!

Items to donate:

  • Toothpaste

  • Toothbrush

  • Razors

  • Body wash

  • Soap

  • Shampoo

  • Conditioner

  • Deodorant

  • Pads

  • Washing powder

  • Toilet paper

Drop Off points:

  • Community Health, 125 Campbell Street

  • Woolworths Swan Hill

  • Dandy Lion Studio, Rutherford Street

Swan Hill and surrounds Fresh Food Swap

The Swan Hill Regional Library in partnership with Swan Hill District Health, Health Promotion are starting a monthly Fresh Food Swap. This is an opportunity to swap your produce , seeds, seedlings , herbs, and preserves.

All produce brought must be good quality and all preserves must be labelled with all the ingredients. All seeds, seedlings, and bulbs must be labelled.

The first session will be held on:

  • Saturday 18th of October

  • 10am -12pm

  • Swan Hill Regional Library, 53-67 Campbell Street, Swan Hill

We would love any home and community gardeners to come together and share their produce and love of gardening!

Food For All Family Edible Garden Day

The Food For All Family Edible Garden day is back in 2025! This FREE event will be held on Wednesday 9th of April at George Lay Park, Swan Hill from 10 am -12 pm.'

On the day we will have the following events below:

  • Decorate and pot a plant activity by the GIFT & George Lay Community garden group

  • Fun giant outdoor games through Reclink Victoria

  • Storytime and colouring ins from the Swan Hill Regional Library

  • Decorate a ladybug or butterfly craft activity brought by your local health promotion team

  • Scavenger Hunt through completing the activities

Food for All Family Edible Garden Day!

Hi Swan Hill! Food for All is very excited to be announcing their Family Edible Garden Day on the 9th of April at George Lay Park during the second week of school holidays. This free event will be fun for the whole family and even better by attending you automatically go in the draw to win one of four kid's gardening packs.

Free kids activities:

  • Storytime at 10.30 from the Swan Hill Regional Library

  • Planting character pots with Swan Hill Christian School

  • Bubble wand play with Small Talk playgroups

  • Drink bottle decoration & Wooden Spoon Garden markers

  • Fun garden themed colouring ins

  • Jenga, Connect 4, beanbag toss and skittles activities with Mikayla from Rec Link

  • Find Garden themed icons on the scavenger hunt as you complete all the different activities
