Our mission is to support food literacy and facilitate access to adequate nutritious food for all members of the Swan Hill Region community.

Established in 2018, our core strategies include:

  • Edible Gardening - Helping the community to grow their own food through sharing tips, tricks and practical gardening skills.

  • Connecting to locally grown food - Encouraging and supporting the community to choose local.

  • Emergency Food Relief - Supporting local organisations who help those in need.

  • Food Literacy and Healthy Food in settings - Helping people to know how to shop for, store and cook delicious healthy food and making the healthy choice the easy choice.

Volunteer with us!

The Swan Hill Food Hub is looking for some volunteers!

The Swan Hill Food Hub is a local initiative through Food for All - Swan Hill Region group. The Swan Hill Food Hub provides food relief to those in need in Swan Hill and district via local services and agencies.

Position purpose:

Food Hub volunteers will work to support the successful implementation of the Swan Hill Food Hub, ensuring food relief is accessible for members to access on behalf of their clients in a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Unloading food pellets

  • Restocking Shelves in Food Hub

  • Cleaning and tidying the Food Hub

  • Removal of boxes and other waste

  • Collection of donations.
